Fadnavis slams Kejriwal with ‘Chullu Bhar Paani’ jibe

Devendra Fadnavis mocks Arvind Kejriwal over Yamuna issue with ‘Chullu Bhar Paani’ remark

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis strongly criticized AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal during a campaign rally in Delhi. He reminded people that Kejriwal had promised to clean the Yamuna River and take a dip in it with his cabinet, but the river remains dirtier than before.

BJP confident about winning

Fadnavis, campaigning for BJP candidate Praveen Nimesh, mocked Kejriwal, saying that the people of Delhi now want him and his cabinet to "drown in shame and leave." He also expressed confidence that BJP would win the upcoming Delhi elections under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

Earlier, Kejriwal had accused Haryana’s BJP government of polluting the Yamuna. This led to a strong reaction from BJP leaders, and Haryana CM Nayyab Saini even filed a complaint with the Election Commission. Kejriwal defended his remarks, saying they were meant to raise concerns about Delhi’s water quality, not to create unrest.

Delhi will vote on February 5, and the results will be announced on February 8.
